The warming device has a holder (1) for a thermoplastic prosthesis shaft blank (2) and a heating device. The holder has a plate (4) for retaining a thermoplastic prosthesis shaft blank and one or multiple radiant heaters (3) for heating the thermoplastic prosthesis shaft blank. The radiant heaters are arranged within or outside the thermoplastic prosthesis shaft blank.
