The method involves concentrically applying two insulation compounds (42, 43) around a conductor (40) in an area, and guiding the insulation compounds into sections of a first channel and a second channel, respectively. The insulation compounds are commonly guided into an adjacent section of a third channel, and the insulation compounds are discharged from a common circular outlet opening of the adjacent section of the third channel, where one of the insulation compounds has a cylindrical external surface. An independent claim is also included for an electric cable comprising two conductors arranged parallel and adjacent to each other.
