<p>A surgical access apparatus (100) comprising: a housing (110) having at least one vessel (210A) associated therewith, the at least one vessel (210A) being defined by a plurality of walls that describe an interior space that is configured and dimensioned to retain a fluid (F), the at least one vessel (210A) having at least one egress (216A) that is configured and dimensioned for fluid communication such that the fluid (F) may be dispensed from the at least one vessel (210A); a cannula sleeve (112) extending from the housing (110); a seal member (120) disposed within the housing (110) and defining an aperture therethrough; and wherein the seal member (120) is movable from a first position to a second position upon the insertion of a surgical instrument into the aperture thereof, the seal member (120) substantially abutting the at least one egress (216A) in the first position and at least partially exposing the at least one egress (216A) in the second position and wherein the housing further defines at least one channel (224) therein configured and dimensioned to communicate a gas, the at least one channel (224) being disposed distally of the at least one egress (216A) such that the fluid (F) may be drawn out of the at least one vessel (210A) upon the communication of the gas.</p>
