<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment-sensitizing solar cell exhibiting enhanced light energy utilization efficiency, by shifting a light-absorption band of pigments used for the solar cell to the center side of energy spectrum distribution of solar light. <P>SOLUTION: This pigment (10) is characterized by possessing a π-conjugated planar section (11) having a π-conjugation system planar skeleton and excited higher than an energy level of conduction bands of metal oxides by irradiation of light, a π-conjugation expanding group (12) having a π-conjugation system planar skeleton, linking to the edge of the π-conjugated planar section (11) and expanding the planar skeleton, and an adsorption group (13) linking to the π-conjugation expanding group (12) and adsorbing on the surface of the metal oxides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
