FIELD: machine building. ^ SUBSTANCE: item of composite material is fabricated by preparing fibrous work piece, by forming channels running inside work piece from at least one of its sides and by compaction of work piece with matrix formed at least partially by procedure of chemical infiltration with gas phase (CVI). The channels are formed by extraction of material with destructed fibres from the work piece of material, for example, by means of processing with a water jet under pressure. Also, arrangement of fibres in a work piece equipped with channels in essence does not change in comparison with initial arrangement before formation of the channels. Substrate corresponds to a circular-like work piece, while channels have diameter mainly 0.05-2 mm. ^ EFFECT: reduced gradient of compaction and reduced number of compaction cycles for fabrication of item of uniform density. ^ 23 cl, 4 ex, 4 tbl, 16 dwg |
