HIGH VOLTAGE NETWORK REGULATOR

The invention relates to high voltage networks (Fig.1) that is formed by a transmission line, to spaced points of which the step-down transformers (autotransformers) are connected with voltage regulation by on-load tap changer. A closed network of lower voltage is connected to secondary winding of said transformers. To avoid power loss from the equalizing current, which appears as a result of voltage drop across transmission line between connection points of the transformers, the lower voltage network is connected to one of transformers through the reactor with variable reactance. This reactance is changed by the drive which is controlled by regulating device depending on the magnitude of cross component of voltage drop on transmission line. The second output of the regulating device is connected to the drive of transformer on-load tap changer in order to eliminate longitudinal voltage drop component.
