<p>Dispensing apparatus for delivering metered doses of product from a pressurized dispensing container has a housing for receiving the container, and a dose counting mechanism that displays an indication of doses dispensed from or remaining in the container. The dose counting mechanism has an indexing mechanism for advancing the indication on actuation of the container, and the dispensing apparatus has an indexing member that moves within the housing in sync with the container. With this arrangement the indexing member interfaces with the indexing mechanism to apply force to the indexing mechanism and incrementally advance the indication. In the invention, the indexing member has a degree of inherent flexibility so that if the dispensing apparatus suffers a sudden impact, the indexing member is able to flex under impack loading, to lessen risk of damaging the indexing mechanism.</p> |
