PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of controlling a number of home electric appliances. SOLUTION: A home gateway 10 performs data communication by radio between a power supplying device such as a power source tap 31, a wall socket 32 and a wall switch 33 and a home electric appliance control device such as an infrared learning remote controller 34, a USB adapter 35 and a JEM-A adapter 36, and manages status data indicating the state of power supply to a home electric appliance connected to these power supply devices or the state of a home electric appliance controlled by these home electric appliance control devices. When a user displays a Web page distributed from the home gateway 10 using a PC 11 and instructs the status change of a desired home electric appliance on that Web page, the home gateway 10 transmits control data corresponding to the user instruction to the power supply devices or the home electric appliance control devices.
