SCROLL TYPE FLUID MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type fluid machine with elongated service life, without an increase in cost. SOLUTION: The scroll type fluid machine includes: a fixed scroll of which the spiral lap part 3 is disposed to a tooth bottom face of an end plate 2; and a swirl scroll of which the spiral lap part 11 is disposed to a tooth bottom face of the end plate 10. A recess groove 5(13) extending along a tooth tip of the lap part 3(11) is formed at least at one lap part out of the lap part 3 of the fixed scroll and the lap part 11 of the swirl scroll, and a sealing member in slide-contact with the tooth bottom face of the mating scroll is installed to the inside of the recess groove 5(13). The sealing member is formed of: a soft layer 32; and a filling material layer 35 including a slide-contact face side part of the sealing member brought into slide-contact with the mating tooth-bottom face, and mixed with particulate hard filling material higher in hardness than the tooth bottom face.
