PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing a columnar soil improvement body by utilizing soil produced by construction, which enables the construction of the columnar soil improvement body with a diameter larger than a bore diameter of a hole for charging the soil produced by the construction. SOLUTION: Characteristically, this method includes: an insertion step of inserting a columnar body into ground 1; a pull-up step of pulling up the columnar body from the ground 1; a produced soil charging step of charging the soil 3, produced by the construction, into the hole 2 remaining in a trace formed by pulling up the columnar body; and a mixing step of inserting an agitation means 20, capable of emitting a jet of solidification material, into the hole 2, and mixing the solidification material, jetted from the agitation means 20, with the ground 1a around the hole 2 and the soil 3 produced by the construction.
