PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a job desired by a user to be executed on another image forming apparatus while preventing execution of functions which it is desired to prohibit for each image forming apparatus and to reduce the time required to search for or display an image forming apparatus capable of executing the job. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an operation display means 12 for receiving set values related to the execution of a job from users; a prohibited function setting means 111 for setting as job setting prohibition information the functions to be prohibited among functions used during job execution; a job setting prohibition information receiving means 112 for receiving job setting prohibition information from other image forming apparatuses 20-40; a comparison and determination means 113 for comparing the function corresponding to the set value with the functions contained in the job setting prohibition information, and determining whether or not the job can be executed; and a notification order setting means 114 for setting a priority order to the other image forming apparatuses 20-40 capable of executing the job.
