The method for producing a plastic mold part (2), which has a cavity in part, using a core (1), which consists of a water-soluble material and is formed in the form of the cavity, comprises keeping the core in a molding tool, and injecting a thermoplastic material into an intermediate space between the core and the molding tool at a temperature of 280[deg] C and/or with a pressure of 1800 bar. The core is dissolved with water and aqueous solution and is removed from the plastic mold part. After the removal, the plastic mold part is formed. An independent claim is included for a core for producing a plastic mold part.
