The head (10) has a cooling circuit circulating coolant i.e. oil. An exhaust pipe (12) is emerged from a circular exhaust cavity (14). An exhaust valve seat (22) is assembled in the circular exhaust cavity, and is comprised of a peripheral annular groove (28) formed on a circumference (24) of the peripheral annular groove. The peripheral annular groove enclosing the exhaust valve seat comprises a corrugated section that allows a passage of the coolant. The section is formed by recesses (44, 46) and an emboss (45).
