<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant applicator capable of elongating a life of a solid lubricant, appropriately adjusting a difference of application amount caused by a difference of the rotating speed of an applicator brush, and dispensing with a large-scale device in which the applicator brush is driven by the other drive system, and capable of adjusting shaving force of the solid lubricant. <P>SOLUTION: The lubricant applicator 30 includes: the solid lubricant 32; the freely rotatable applying member 31 to rub and shave the solid lubricant 32 so as to apply the shaved lubricant to the lubricant application target.
