<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce flickering of a screen when the brightness of an image is frequently changed while suppressing power consumption by a backlight. <P>SOLUTION: The display controller is configured to determine the target light emission quantity of the backlight on the basis of the luminance value of inputted image data, to determine a variation from the present light emission quantity corresponding to a difference value between the determined target light emission quantity and the present light emission quantity of the backlight, and to determine the light emission quantity for which the present light emission quantity is varied for the determined variation as the light emission quantity of the backlight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
