PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilting pad bearing device which prevents deterioration in bearing load capacity in both of low-speed rotation and high-speed rotation of a rotating shaft by forming a sufficient oil film. SOLUTION: In the tilting pad bearing device, the rotating shaft 11 is supported rotationally via tilting pads 23a, 23b, 23c, and 23d, and a lubrication oil is supplied from an oil supply nozzle 31 between the tilting pads 23a, 23b, 23c, and 23d to the tilting pads 23a, 23b, 23c, and 23d arranged on the rotating direction downstream side of the rotating shaft 11 in an oil supply part 31. The tilting pad bearing device includes: an oil supply hole 41 opened on sliding faces 24b and 24c of the tilting pads 23b and 23c; a second lubrication oil supplying pump 43 supplying a lubrication oil to the sliding faces 24b and 24c via the oil supply hole 41; and a hydraulic jack 51 pressing the rotating shaft 11 to separate it from the sliding faces 24b and 24c when stopping the rotation of the rotating shaft 11.
