PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify abnormality by discriminating sensor detection due to a criminal from sensor detection due to any other factor. SOLUTION: A security device 4 is configured to, when a sensor 2 which monitors an intruder to a security area E detects abnormality, notify the abnormality, and is provided with: an acquisition part 4b for acquiring the consumption of the electric energy of electric equipment installed in a security area E; a determination part 12 for, when the abnormality is detected by the sensor 2, determining the degree of emergency of the abnormality on the basis of the change of the consumption acquired by the acquisition part 4b during a prescribed period; and a communication part 4c, a display part 4d, and a ringing part 4e as an output part for, when it is determined that the degree of emergency is high by the determination part 12, notifying abnormality by discriminating the case from such a case that the degree of emergency is not high.
