PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer state monitoring device for monitoring a computer state, by monitoring power consumption of a computer. SOLUTION: A monitoring server 300 (a state monitoring device of a computer) monitors a state of a computer 500 by using measurement data of a power consumption measurement device 100 for measuring power consumption of the computer 500 to be monitored. The monitoring server 300 includes: a power state database 400 for storing patterns of power consumption according to states of the computer 500; a data acquisition part 205 for acquiring measurement data of power consumption measured by the power consumption measurement device 100; and a computer state detection part 220 for determining whether a shift pattern of the obtained measurement data is similar to which state pattern stored in the power state database 400 and detects a state corresponding to the pattern determined to be similar as a state of the computer 500 to be monitored.
