The impeller (1) has inner and outer carrier rings (2, 3) that are arranged coaxial to each other, and a blade shape part (5) radially arranged between the carrier rings. The blade shape part comprises radial connecting portions for coupling the respective carrier rings, where the carrier rings are formed as a cast part. The connecting portions are molded to form respective connections (18, 19) into the carrier rings. Geometry and/or dimension of mating faces are determined as a function of strength of the connections between the individual carrier rings and the blade shape part. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a hydrodynamic component comprising a revolution or torque converter (2) a method for manufacturing an impeller.
