The device (11) has a plain base (1) on which supporting abutments (2) and marking or centering elements e.g. marking or centering ribs (3), are fixed. The base is located on a geometrical area defined by the abutments, where length and location of the marking or centering elements are determined in a manner to cover a center of food products (13). The abutments are in contact with diameter of the products. The marking or centering elements are replaced by cross-shaped ribs for permitting marking of a face center of the products.
