<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrosurgical system for use in the treatment by electrosurgical procedures. <P>SOLUTION: The system 100 includes a generator 102 configured to provide electrosurgical energy to an instrument 130 and a dual directional coupler 104 coupled between the instrument 130 and the generator 102 and configured to sample the electrosurgical energy. The system also includes a sensor module 112 configured to detect one or more properties of the sampled electrosurgical energy, a controller 120 configured to receive the detected one or more properties and configured to control the output of the generator 102 based on the detected one or more properties, and an isolation device 114 coupled between the sensor module 112 and the controller 120. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
