PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a short range radio communication device, a reception control method, and a program for suitably performing communication. SOLUTION: A reception power detection unit 27 compares the signal level of a received signal with an activation level stored in an activation power register 28, and when the signal level is equal to or higher than the activation level, puts a controller 21 and a demodulator 24 in an on-state. Then, the controller 21 executes processing corresponding to the received signal.
