PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an optical pickup device single body to lead light-receiving output by allowing the optical pickup device single body to correct unbalance of light-receiving outputs of a photodetector generated by eccentricity of light-receiving spots projected in a light-receiving region. SOLUTION: In the photodetector 1 including the light-receiving region 2 divided into four segments by two dividing lines orthogonal to each other, amplifiers 3, 4, 5 and 6 are provided in association with the segments of the light-receiving region, output terminals 11, 12, 13 and 14 outputting respective light-receiving output corresponding to the respective segments from the photodetector 1 via the amplifiers are provided, and an output setting circuit 15 is provided which sets the respective light-receiving output from the respective output terminals by changing gains of the respective amplifiers and/or attenuating input or output of the respective amplifiers by an attenuator. Thus, respective light-receiving output from the respective output terminals are corrected by the output setting circuit according to output difference generated in the respective light-receiving output from the respective output terminals based on positions of the light-receiving spots projected in the light-receiving region.
