PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conical roller bearing in which the seizure of a conical roller guide surface of a flange section located on the large diameter side of a conical raceway surface of an inner race can be suppressed. SOLUTION: In a cage 5, a parallel section 35 is formed which radially faces a conical raceway surface 12 of an inner race 2 and extends axially from the smaller diameter side of the conical raceway surface 12 toward a larger flange section 14 side. An axially extending groove is formed in an inner surface 40 of the parallel section 35. A gap which can hold gear oil in the groove by means of the surface tension of the gear oil when the cage 5 is stationary with respect to the inner race 2, is formed between the conical raceway surface 12 of the inner race 2 and the inner surface 40 of the parallel section 35.
