PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent which can adsorb and desorb an adsorbate in a low relative vapor pressure region and has efficiency suitable for a humidity control air conditioner. SOLUTION: In an adsorption element formed by fixing the adsorbent to a carrier by means of a binder, the difference between adsorption amounts at relative humidities of 90% and 70% in an adsorption isotherm at 25°C is≥0.05 g/g, and the difference between adsorption amounts at relative humidities of 5% and 28% therein is≥0.05 g/g.
