<p>Disclosed is a sensor trouble detection device mounted on a vehicle provided with an electric water pump for circulating engine cooling water. The sensor trouble detection device is provided with a water pump forcibly operating unit which forcibly operates the electric water pump if a predetermined relationship between a detection result of a first temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of engine cooling water and a detection result of a second temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of another medium having a correlation with the temperature of engine cooling water or an estimation result of the temperature of engine cooling water, is not satisfied while the electric water pump is not operated after starting an engine. The sensor trouble detection device prohibits a trouble detection operation, invalidates a trouble detection result, or changes a trouble detection method in the trouble detection operation if reduction of the temperature of engine cooling water is observed on the basis of the detection result of the first temperature sensor after the electric water pump is forcibly operated by the water pump forcibly operating unit.</p> |
