Disclosed is an information distribution system having: a plurality of information terminals which are disposed in a plurality of residential units; and an information distribution server which distributes frames to the plurality of information terminals via a network, said frames containing various information associated with the residential units. Each information terminal is provided with: a reception unit which receives a frame distributed via the network; a processing unit which processes the frame received by the reception unit and acquires the information contained in the frame; and a control unit which suspends the processing unit until a frame is received by the reception unit and starts up the processing unit when a frame is received by the reception unit.
