<p>A baseband signal transmission method is provided in the embodiments of the present invention, which comprises: when the downlink traffic amount in one of the areas covered by multiple remote radio frequency units (RRUs) is below a predetermined threshold, a group of downlink baseband signals are generated or received, wherein the group of downlink baseband signals correspond to all RRUs in the area; the group of downlink baseband signals are transmitted respectively to each RRU in the area, and each RRU generates downlink wireless radio frequency signals using the downlink baseband signals and sends the downlink wireless radio frequency signals. Accordingly, the embodiments of the present invention also provide a baseband signal transmission method and a baseband unit (BBU). With the above technical solutions, the transmission bandwidth of the baseband signals is compressed dramatically, the implementation is easy, and the complexity of the system is reduced.</p> |
