<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass ceramic having excellent surface durability and having crystal phases of at least one kind of titanium oxide selected from the group consisting of anatase, rutile and brookite types and also of an alkali earth titanium phosphate compound, and to provide its production method, and a photocatalytic member and a hydrophilic member, containing the glass ceramic. <P>SOLUTION: The glass ceramic includes at least one selected from R<SB>0.5</SB>Ti<SB>2</SB>(PO<SB>4</SB>)<SB>3</SB>and their solid solutions and also either one or both of TiO<SB>2</SB>and its solid solutions. The decomposition activation index of methylene blue based on JIS R 1703-2:2007 is at least 3.0 nmol/L/min. (In the formula, R is at least one kind selected from Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, and Zn). The glass ceramic is produced by a method including the steps of: mixing and melting raw materials to obtain a glass melt or a glass; and crystallizing it by keeping the temperature at which a crystallization nuclei are generated and grown in the melt or the glass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
