PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external facing material formed to enhance waterproofness at both longitudinal ends in regard to the external facing material forming the exterior of a building or a structure. SOLUTION: The long-sized external facing material A having a substantially vertical decorative surface 6 and male-female connection structures at the upper and lower ends of the decorative surface 6 is formed with a rugged part 18 at least at one of an upper edge 9 on the surface side in an engaging groove 11 formed at the lower end of the external facing material A and recessed upward, and a joint surface 12 on the surface side of a fitting piece 17 formed at the upper end of the external facing material A and projected upward, at both longitudinal ends of the external facing material A.
