<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device which appropriately prevents a vehicle control such as unintentional starting of a drive source. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle control device includes: operation detection means 20a-20c each detecting that a steering wheel 10, a shift knob 15 or a brake pedal 14 has been operated so as to output the detected result; and control means 40 controlling a power supply state or starting of the drive source based on the detected result. Human body communication means 30 is provided in each steering wheel 10, shift knob 15 and brake pedal 14. Information is transmitted and received between each of human body communication means 30 that corresponds to each of the operation detection means 20a-20c that have output the detected result.
