The present invention relates to a method for treating a metabolic condition in a subject, comprising administering a compound to said subject that inhibits the expression or activity of GSTZ or promotes degradation of GSTZ. The compound may inhibit or disrupt an interaction between GSTZ and one or more molecules, compounds or cellular components.
