<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data relay apparatus and method capable of relaying data with high efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: Data for a predetermined look-ahead size from a leading address indicated in a data readout request are acquired from a storage device and temporarily stored as temporary storage data.
