PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calculation method of particle sedimentation velocity capable of exactly measuring a sedimentation velocity. SOLUTION: The calculation method of particle sedimentation velocity in muddy water, in which particles 4 having a plurality of sizes are dispersed in a liquid, includes: a step of specifying the largest particle having the largest size at a predetermined water depth H at a predetermined time Tn after homogeneously dispersing the particle 4 in the liquid; a step of calculating the relation between the largest particle size and the sedimentation velocity at the predetermined time Tn by calculating the sedimentation velocity of the largest particle; and a step of calculating the correlation between the particle size and the sedimentation velocity by comparing the largest particle size and the sedimentation velocity in the muddy water at each time where the water collection frequency n is 2 or more by collecting the muddy water at least 2 or more different predetermined times Tn.
