PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio control apparatus and audio control system having convenience similar to that of a device that includes an HDMI input interface, by implementing device control equal to that of an HDMI device, without providing an input interface compliant to the HDMI standard. SOLUTION: An audio control apparatus includes: a plurality of non-HDMI receiving sections (65-68) to which non-HDMI audio signals, which are not compliant to the HDMI standard, are inputted from a plurality of electronic devices (10-40); a control signal-receiving section 64 for receiving a device control signal compliant to the HDMI standard from an audio/video output apparatus 50; an audio input-switching section 71 for receiving non-HDMI audio signals outputted from the plurality of non-HDMI receiving sections (65-68); and a control section 62 for controlling the audio input-switching section 71. The control signal-receiving section 64 receives a first device control signal indicative of an electronic device outputting a non-HDMI audio signal, and the control section 62 controls the audio input-switching section 71 so as to output a non-HDMI audio signal indicated by the first device control signal.
