PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for elevators enabling prompt recovery of a car of an elevator in which minor failure occurs. SOLUTION: The control system for the elevators includes: a failure elevator detection means detecting failure levels of the plurality of elevators in a group in case of power outage; and a return elevator determination means returning the car of the elevator in which failure causing no problems for traveling to a preset rescue floor is detected by the failure elevator detection means to the rescue floor by using electric power supplied from an emergency power source. The control system having such a configuration can return the car of the elevator where minor failure occurs to the rescue floor, and promptly recover the car of the elevator where the failure occurs.
