PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-proof connector which enables maintenance of high water-proof performance regardless of the outer diameter of an electric wire; and to provide a method for installing it. SOLUTION: Insertion pores 4 are opened in a sealing portion 3 comprising a flexible member, and cylindrical walls 6 are arranged and extended to continue to the inner walls of the insertion pores 4. Inward flanges 7 are formed on the extended ends of the cylindrical walls 6. The inner peripheral surfaces of the inward flanges 7 are locked on the outer peripheral surfaces of the electric wires 5 in a press-fitted state. The electric wires 5 are pushed into the insertion pores 4 while maintaining the state to make the extended ends E2 of the cylindrical walls 6 together with the electric wires 5 get through the inner sides of base ends E1. The cylindrical walls 6 are made to exist between the inner walls of the insertion pores 4 and the electric wires 5 by reversing the inner and outer peripheral surfaces thereof.
