PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical imaging apparatus which accurately adjusts a position of a bed in a tilting motion of a gantry. SOLUTION: An object region is positioned by using a projector 21 fixed on a gantry part 2. When the object region is positioned with the gantry part 2 tilted, a position irradiated with guide light emitted from the projector 21 deviates from the position irradiated when the gantry is not tilted. Therefore, when the object region positioned at a point irradiated with the guide light is transferred to a photographing position, a system control device 401 calculates a moving amount in accordance with a tilt angleθand positions the object region at the photographing center by moving a top plate 5 in the vertical and horizontal directions by the moving amount.
