PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid jetting apparatus capable of making efficiency of maintenance processing of a head higher. SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes: a recording head 2 which has a nozzle forming surface 21A; a cap member 12 which is provided in contact with the recording head 2 to surround the nozzle forming surface 21A; a branching channel 40 whose one end communicates with the cap member 12 and whose other end is branched into two at a branching position D on a downstream side from the one end, the other end which is configured so that its one side communicates with a waste liquid tank 13, and the other side communicates with a moisturing liquid tank in which moisturing liquid L is reservoired; a tube pump 50 which is provided on an upstream side from the branching position D, and can perform first sucking operation to suck the inside of the channel from the one end toward the other end, and second sucking operation to suck the inside of the channel from the other end toward the one end; and an opening/closing device 60 which sets one channel on the one side or the other side of the other end to a closed state and sets the other to an opened state in accordance with the sucking operation.
