PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking tiller suppressing sticking of mud on a mudguard board. SOLUTION: The walking tiller 1 includes an engine 3 having a transmission shaft 19 protruded downward, a gear case 2 attached to the engine 3 and extending downward, and outputting rotation transmitted from the transmission shaft 19 from a tilling shaft 5 extending perpendicular to the axial direction of the transmission shaft 19, a steering handle attached to the gear case 2 through a frame 4 and a handle bracket, tilling blades 6 driven by rotating power of the tilling shaft 5, and the mudguard board 7 provided between the engine 3 and tilling blades 6, having a fluororesin-coated surface 23 coated with a resin containing fluorine on a surface opposed to the tilling blades 6, and covering the tilling blades 6.
