PROTECTING MEMBER, PROTECTING MEMBER LAYERED BODY USING THE SAME AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protecting member which is lightweight and has satisfactory impact resistance. SOLUTION: The protecting member contains a resin material obtained by polymerizing 15 to 89.9 pts.wt. acrylic acid based derivative in the presence of 10 to 80 pts.wt. acrylic acid based derivative polymer using 0.1 to 5 pts.wt. polymerization initiator. The acrylic acid based derivative polymer preferably has weight average molecular weight of 100,000 or more and the polymerization initiator is a photopolymerization initiator or a thermal polymerization initiator. The protecting member preferably has ≤0°C glass transition temperature and the protecting member itself has adhesiveness and preferably has ≥80% visible light transmittance.
