摘要 Disclosed is an optical power generation element which is provided with: a substrate; an electrode (10) provided on the substrate; a semiconductor i-layer (11), which is composed of an amorphous Si-based material, and which is provided on the electrode (10) such that the layer forms a Schottky junction with the electrode (10); and a semiconductor n-layer (12), which is provided on the semiconductor i-layer (11). The work function (Fi) of a member that constitutes the semiconductor i-layer (11) is larger than the work function (Fe) of a member constituting the electrode (10), and the ionization potential of the member constituting the semiconductor i-layer (11) is larger than a value obtained by adding -0.3 eV to the work function (Fe). Also disclosed is a multi-junction thin film solar cell using the optical power generation element as the top cell.
