摘要 In a D.C. to D.C. converter (10), an input voltage (VIN) is received via an inductor (16) at an input terminal (42) and stored onto a capacitor (18) of an integrator. A first switch (14) is coupled between the input terminal (42) and a reference terminal such as ground and thereby fluxes the inductor (16). The input voltage stored on the capacitor falls at a rate determined by the integrator circuit and an initial value of the input voltage. After a time duration, the first switch (14) becomes nonconductive. Current flows from the inductor (16) through a diode (36) to an output terminal until a second switch (34) across the diode is made conductive. Stored voltage on the capacitor (18) of the integrator increases in response to the second switch (34) being conductive. The stored voltage on the capacitor (18) is continuously compared with a reference voltage (VIN). The second switch (34) is made nonconductive when the stored voltage on the capacitor (18) exceeds the reference voltage.
