The module has front and rear sided shrouds made of glass, where the thickness of the front- and rear-sided shrouds lie within the range of about 1.6 to 2.5 mm. The module consists of multiple series-interconnected solar cells or interconnected photovoltaic layers. Electrical terminals are mounted to the solar cells and the terminal of the photovoltaic layers, where the terminals of the photovoltaic layers are manufactured with thin layer modules. The solar cells and/or photovoltaic layers are interconnected in series to the thin layer modules.
