The component (7) has an outer shell (4) made of thermoplastic resin, and a supporting layer made of foamed plastic and connected with the outer shell. The supporting layer consists of a foam body (5) that is foamed to the outer shell, where the foam body is made of expanded polystyrene (EPS). The foam body is dimensioned such that a space between the outer shell and adjacent components is filled. Functional components, attachment members (11) and amplification components are integrated into the foam body. Crash absorbers are integrated at the foam body.
