BLUE PIGMENT COMPOSITION FOR COLOR FILTER, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, COLOR FILTER, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter having a blue color pixel part, with which higher brightness is obtained and brighter liquid crystal display becomes possible when an LED or an organic EL is used as a backlight source, and to provide a liquid crystal display device.

SOLUTION: A blue pigment composition for the color filters for LED-backlight or organic EL backlight contains an ε-type copper phthalocyanine pigment (A) and a zinc phthalocyanine pigment (B). A method for producing the blue pigment composition for the color filters for LED backlight or organic EL backlight includes a process for performing solvent salt milling of a mixture containing copper phthalocyanine other than β-type and zinc phthalocyanine. In the color filters and the liquid crystal display device, the blue pigment composition for color filters or the blue pigment composition for color filters, produced by the production method, is used in blue color pixel parts.
