<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly select a light source to be lighted from a plurality of light sources, in an image projector. <P>SOLUTION: The image projector 100 projects an image formed by using light from at least one lighted light source of the plurality of light sources 3a and 3b onto a surface to be projected S through a projection optical system 5 capable of zooming. The image projector includes: a projection distance measuring means 9 measuring a projection distance from the projector to the surface to be projected; a zoom state detection means 8 detecting the zoom state of the projection optical system; and a light source selection means 6 selecting at least one light source to be lighted from the plurality of light sources from the projection distance measured by the projection distance measuring means, the zoom state detected by the zoom state detection means, required illuminance on the surface to be projected, and history information on one of the lighting time, the number of lighting times, and light emission amount of the plurality of light sources. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
