SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the carbon powder for the lithium secondary battery negative electrode in which the carbon powder is subjected to the isotropic pressurizing treatment, the carbon powder for the lithium secondary battery negative electrode obtained by the method, the carbon powder prepared by the method or the negative electrode for the lithium secondary battery containing the carbon powder, and the lithium secondary battery having this negative electrode and a positive electrode containing lithium compound are provided.
