PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency when the voltage conversion operation is not required in a power supply system having a converter. SOLUTION: The power supply system 105 includes a DC power supply 110, a converter 120, a bypass circuit 170, and an ECU 300, and supplies the power supply voltage to a load device 130. The converter 120 performs voltage conversion between the DC power supply 110 and the load device 130 by switching operation. The bypass circuit 170 is constituted to bypass the converter 120, independently from the switching operation of the converter 120, for the load device 130 from the DC power supply 110. The ECU 300 switches the bypass circuit 170 when at least either of the current IL flowing through the converter 120 and the voltage VH of the converter 120 on the load device 130 side satisfies the conditions suitable for changing over the bypass circuit 170.
