PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow guard fitting of the type which has both of a pre-installation function and a post-installation function allowing the snow guard fitting to be inserted into an overlapped portion of roof plates without hooking a step portion thereupon, when used as a post-installation type. SOLUTION: In the snow guard fitting, a lowering step part 5 is formed at the tip of an installation plate part 4, into a step installation surface part 6 allowing the tip side to be overlapped on a sheathing roof board 2 from the step part 5. A cut-out edge 8 is formed at the step part 5, and a cut-out piece 9 cut-out downward from the step part 5 through the cut-out edge 8 and projected on the base end side of the installation plate part 4 is provided while being connected to the step installation surface part 6, forming an insertion space 10 for insertion of the roof plate 3 between the cut-out piece 9 and installation plate part 4. A projection 11 projecting upward from the step installation surface part 6 is provided on the upper surface of the step installation surface part 6, and the projection 11 is low at the tip side of the step installation surface part 6 and is formed into a shape gradually increasing in its projection height toward the base end side.
